Does anybody know how I can disable word wrapping on normal text in html? Using IE 5.5. I tried <pre></pre> and it added too many linebreaks above & below the text.

You have two possibilities at least : a) do not use standard spaces in the text and use ampersand+nbsp instead. These spaces appear as normal ones but do not cause text to wrap at them. b) or you can play around with the PRE tag a while and it should be ok then. This tag causes text contained within to appear exactly as writen in the source with all line-breaks and spaces and so on. And noticably without any unwanted line-breaks too.
