Recalling Members Info

Hi,

Ok I am making a members area for my site
I have posted this before but no one replyed:

Ok, I have a user database that is stored in a php file,
the info is stored like this:
username:crypted password:level:email address:answer to a question: answer to another question

How can i get a members profile to recall these and desplay only the questions answers?

Read about file() and fgetcsv()
That will help you to read the file into PHP memory as an array, and thenread each line as a seperate array.

Then you can go through the file looking for the right username, and print the answers from that line.

you can't use double-quotes inside double-quotes

Try using single quotes:

"welcome $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS['user']";

or put the var outside the string:

echo "Welcome ".$HTTP_COOKIE_VARS["user"];
