informix server

hi
i have one problem can u help me.
I have informix server on unix and required to connect from windows 95 machine through vb6.0.I dont have informix client on my 95 machine.
So how can i establish the connection between windows 95 and unix server,And after that how to retrive the data from informix server from windows 95 machine through vb application.
