Netscape 4.7

Hi everyone! I am having serious trouble getting my script to work in Nestcape 4.7 on both Mac and PC platforms. Does anyone know why I am having trouble getting tables to display?

Simple. You haven't closed <table> tags. :-)

Btw, check generated source. You have 2 , <body> and <head> tags!

they simply aren't showing up! they do in all browsers but Netscape 4.7

Thanks for catching that, but, shouldn't the data show up even if the tags are closed?

If a table tag is not closed Netscape 4.7 will not display it. IE is much more forgiving about poor HTML. Build your HTML strict and you won't have functional problems (Things still won't display right because few browsers fully support the standards but oh well.)

No problem. When it works in IE and NS6, but not in NS4 (and, I think, 3) - it's always table not closed. :-)

I agree with Roger - keep your code clean. Also, try formating PHP output - it'll be easier for you (or anyone else) to debug it. I'd never find that table thing if I didn't know it in advance... (I would, but not without some good tool :-))

Are you saying my code is bad!? 🙂 Ok, I'll clean it up. Basically I threw it up quickly to get results.

What do you mean when you say things still won't display right?
