Ignoring weekends in count

I have two DATETIME fields in a MySQL db and would like to calculate the number of working days between them, ie. not including weekends in PHP.

Does anybody know how this can be done?

divide total days by 7 for number of weeks.
multiply weeks by 5 for working days. this will not be accurate if the datetime's are during a weekend.
