How to configure GD in windows

hi friends,

help me to configure GD in PHP 4 @ windows OS. please give me a step by step procedure for doing this.

i am having PHP 4 installed in my system with Apache as Webserver. i also have php_gd.dll @C:\php\extensions.

help me out ..

Step 1.

Make sure the extension_dir directive in php.ini is set to "c:\php\extensions"

Step 2.

Uncomment (remove semi-colon) or add the following line to php.ini:

extension=php_gd.dll

Step 3.

Restart Apache.

thanks for that info. but still more problems with loading the required DLL.
it is giving the following error message.

unable to load dynamic library c:\php\extensions\php_gd.dll - the specified module could not be found.

pls help me on this....

hi,

got the funda. i had two php.ini files in my winnt directory. one @ c:\winnt and other @ c:\winnt\system32. the first one is the working directory. but i was altering one @ c:\winnt\system32..

anyhow its working fine. thanks for the suggestion.
