hi, anybody kindly tell me code or function how to avoid closing browser window(eg:if i press X mark in browser it should not close). in javascript or asp.

You cant do that because that is written into the program that when you click on the X it will close the window.

i believe people should always have the option to close a window - free will and all
look at siteexperts.com for chromeless windows. you can define Windows without a title-bar at all. but you still can close this window with ALT-F4
