Redirection

i'm trying to redirect a page after a variable is tested to be true.

ex. if ($var == True)
{
response.redirect("help.htm");
etc.
How do i do this using php?

You can do it like this.

header("Location: $url");

a little different from vbscript but it gets you there,

when i do that, i get this:
Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/--- and then the page and line number.

hehe.. I have the same problem.. but I want to send the user to another page after his login has been confirmed.. and then I don't think I can use header();

In cfml there is a function like:

<cflocation template="url here">

isn't there someting like this in php..?

i don't think so, i've been searching the web and all i can find is the code that i've used, maybe i'm not manipulating it correctly or something.

you can use a meta-refresh instead a header if you have to send html before

$msg = "<meta http-equiv=\"Refresh\" content=\"0;url=" . $goto_url . "\">";
echo $msg;

No debe haber ningun echo ""; antes del header y tampoco lineas en blanco antes del comienzo del php <?
