having one article on more pages??

Hello,

my article will be saved in mysql db. let's say the whole text will be in one column called ARTICLE_TEXT. but, when echoing it to users, but i want the article to be separated. i mean like this. 1st, the user will only see the "what this article is about", then he will press ">> next" button or something and he will se another part of it... but how to do that??? this site has something like that. shows only few lines at the begining, then you can press "next page" to see next page of an article,..

but i want to know how to make that..

One way to do it is by putting markers in your text, something like:
[pagebreak]

Then you have to write a piece of code that scans the text you got from the database and finds all these markers. The first page would then be from the start of the text upto the first marker, the second page is from marker-1 to marker-2 etc.

Read about substring(), strstr(), split(), explode() and preg_match_all()
