Problem with .ttf font/gd with php4

Ok, one last question for now (gulp)

On win 98, I have php 4 working
gd is working but when I want to point to a .ttf file, even if the path is correct, I get errors saying it cannot find the font

that sucks

how would one fix this?

If the font is in
C:\windows\fonts
I thought my php page on personal webserver

http://localhost is the url

would just point to it in the script
what would solve those errors? And when I install this on linux, will I have to point to directories on my domain, such as
www.mywebsite.com/fonts to point to .ttf files?

This is new to me, sorry for such a silly question 🙂

Hi Joel,

in order to find out if it is a problem with the ttf-support or if php simply does not find the file, I would recommend to simply COPY the ttf-file to the dir. where your PHP4-script is. Then you don't need to struggle with the pathes anymore.
