getting the final and actual url.. ??

another problem..

how do i get the actual url fom the redirected url..

lets say

http://www.abc.com/something

goes to

http://ww.zyx.com/realthing

so .. how to i get the http://www.zyx.com/realthing url if i pass in http://www.abc.com/something to php ??

anyone has such solution yet 🙂

so ... how do i use that for my purpose ?

hehe... i used that before to write a sub domain redirection script..

but .. i m not sure how i can use that to trace the final url ..

What exactly are you trying to do with the 'final URL'?

well.. just want it.. thats all..
i mean i have the a url .. but that url will go to another url.. thats the url i want u see.. 🙂

So you want to find out where a URL is redirected to?

Then you'll have to use fsockopen and just do an HTTP request and see what the server sends you.
