still cant get those linebreaks to work.

i posted before about not being able to replace linebreaks with "<br>" tags.

i already thried:
nl2br($input_from_textearea)
ereg_replace("\n", "<BR>", $input_from_textearea)

i also tried using a double slash.
but all to no avail.
thei file is write enabled so that shouldnt be a problem.

any one got any idea's??

X-cuse me but it looks to me as if you have a LOT of questions. And so do I :

Is the text coming from a TEXTAREA? And how is it is set up concerning return-chars / newlines? (virtual, hard or soft-breaks)

What is that file you're mentioning?

Would you like a live example on how to make such a thing work (textareas, nl2br and such?)

i personally have found that using soft breaks is much more effective. like a html tag like so:

<textarea rows="5" cols="30" wrap="soft" name="textbox"></textarea>

then changing line breaks to <br> tags seems to work very well.
