Help me,file creation question with PHP

Hi there,

I know there is no stupid question but this one seems near it. Could any one of your php gurus here show me how to create a file with a name specified from user form input, and then insert a url as the file content?

The url is also otained from the form.

For example, The form will consist one field named id and the other named url. The script will check to see if the id exists and if it doesnot, creat a file named id and put a single line of url in it.

Hi,

This is the basic file you need

if (file_exists($id.".txt")){
print"already there";
}else{
$open=fopen($id.".txt","w");
$write=fwrite($open,$url);
print"Success";
}
?>

All you need to do then is create your form with the two fields you stated ie id and url. The form action calls this form and voila !
