How to get user input, then process code

Hello,

I need some help figuring out how to do this.

1. A visitor to my web site click on a page.
2. Part of the page loads up.
3. A question then appears (pop window or another small browser comes us). The question says,"Do you have high speed or low speed internet connection?"
   High or Low
4. After the visitor clicks yes or no,
   the rest of the pages loads up

This pages has 2 sets of images to load, one for high speed and one for low speed.

How do I do this?

I'm new to JavaScript but I recently found a code should help. I'm going to alter the code so that it automatically chooses one of three images depending on the connection speed automatically (without asking the user) The source is viewable and is well documented so you should be able to alter it to suit your needs if you are interested in an auto detection.

I'm sure that someone will have a much easier way but this should work.
