Time evaluation in PHP

hi!

I am trying to make an application in php for some, I would say, unusal purpose.
I need to evalute results taken from a form based upon the actual time.
For example if I checked some combination at form and the is t1 a gif1 woul play. After some time if no other combination was chcecked gif2 starts to play.
I will appreciate all suggestions. Thanks.

I trying to learn stuff about time too.

maybe you can use this:
gmstrftime('S', time())

returns the number of seconds right now.

meaning
param one = format for month, day, week, hour, second
param two = current time right now

yes this is basic instruction, but problem is somewhere else. I already know hot to get some sort of time, i.e. using time(), but the problem is how to evaluate this time and the parameters from the form for let's say every second.

ok i\'ll try to describe the poblem more precisely:
1. the different gif\'s should be played depending on the cheked radio-buttons on the form and depending on actuall time.

for example buttons on the form are:
a. mixer
b. toster.
when you chose mixer the time starts to run.
during the certain period (say 30 sec.) the gif1 is playing.
after 30 sec. the gif1 stopped and gif2 starts to play.

that\'s all but it\'s not so easy to make.
all suggestions are welcome.

Alas, that is not PHP. You will have to use Javascript for that.
