Hi,
I want to include a file from a remote server using the include()
How do I do that??

I went through the docs but couldnt get any solution as such..

Please help..

just include("http://asdasdasd.com/asd.asd");

Yes, thats exactly what i tried to do, but this is the error i am getting

I try to include file like :
include("http://someserver.com/kno/index.php3");

Failed opening 'index.php3' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/thecahub/www/kno/index.php on line 43

If your host runs a proxy server you will not be able to include() remote files as as far as the proxy is concerned they dont exist, you can grab snoopy form sourceforge.net -have not got the url handy but a search as sf will find it fast enough.

Snoopy allows you to get around the proxy problem although it does add overhead to each call.

Its also just possible that your host has disabled allow_url_fopen in the php.ini, although thats unlikely ? - the proxy server would be my bet
