search registry keys? HELP!!

Im needing to beable to use asp to search through a specific registry key set to return usernames stored in there. Unfortunatly the email app im using stores aliases in there so to make sure the username isnt taken i need to do this.

HAS anyone done this before? and if so HOW?

Hi,

I have done this in perl but even that was not capable of inserting (which i think you need) but asp has some-what more power over the registry.

You can find scripts that will do that at hotscripts.com

But remember this is a forum for peep's prog'rammin in php not asp!

OOPS did i say ASP? LOL!! Sorry.. I am using PHP.

and no i dont need to Insert anything.. I just need to Check and see if usernames ALREADY inserted are taken. Thats all.

Any other ideas besides Hotscripts?
