well here it is..
method=text
output encoding=utf-8
input encoding=utf-8
i have an xml file that is transformed with PHP that creates an html file with the data in my xml..
i can't seem to get it to recognise the 'cent' sign.. (as in dollars and cents)..
¢(semicolon) gives me an extra character along with the cent sign.. (and no, i'm not actually typing the word semicolon in the xml 🙂
also, the text method puts an additional / in my html tags.. (<br/>, <hr/> etc)..
the resulting html file displays ok on a PC (save the extra character with the cent sign) but it doesn't display at all on a Mac..
does anyone know why this happens and how i can get around this problem?
disable output escaping? xsl:copy-of?
changing the method to html doesn't help either..
thanks...
