Selecting a specific month

Well i've got a script that makes
statics of percents over a monthly objective.
The trouble is that now that i'm testing it in november it will give me the right numbers for november with this:

"select * from tablename "
but when we get to december it will count november and december at the same time but i will just want to count just december ones...
got the idea?

...every record in the table has a date field
