I'm trying to make a ticket support. How would I go about making it so it says

Added on: Nove 24th, 2001 12:31pm
Ticket Open for: 1 hour, 3 minutes.

I did look over that but I still can't see how i can have something like

11-20-2001 12:05
and the current date 11-21-2002 1:06
and that it says ticket has been open for 1 day, 1 hours, 1 minutes

I know that I can do this
date("H:i:s", mktime(0,$minutes,0))

but how do i find the amount of minutes inbetween when they added it and now. When they added it there's a timestamp and once i recal it and convert it back how do I find the difference between then and now.

Please help me. I need this.
