Problem on using fopen on remote file

Hi,

I have experienced the problem when using fopen to open some homepage. Normally this function works fine with most homepages but just some of them cannot be opened. If I try to open with this function, it will show the error like file not found. However, if I retrieve the same page with IE5, it works fine!!!

Could anyone here clearify this why it happens so? How could I solve this problem? I have tried to find out in the manual and all news groups including discussion here, but I couldn't find any answer.

The URL that cannot open by fopen is :

http://scoop.bangkokpost.co.th/jobsearch/showstep.asp?running=1781

but you can open with IE5 (the page is written in Thai)

as a hint, have you tried reading it in with file()? looks like fopen doesn't work with ms servers.

Still doesn't work. It gives the same error. Here is the error message.

Warning: file("http://scoop.bangkokpost.co.th/jobsearch/showstep.asp?running=1781") - No such file or directory in .......... on line 3

I heard from some people here that it may be because of redirection, which fopen and file function do not support. If that's the case, how to work with the redirected pages?
