Automatic Running

Hi all,

I compiled my apache,php,mysql and is working fine. My document root is /usr/local/apache/htdocs/www. So to run my main.php i need to specify http://192.168.172.150/www/main.php

if i type http://192.168.172.150 only ,Can i get my main.php.

You can just make a redirect in a file which for example is called index.htm:

you can also use a php file to redirect, ie index.php:
<?php
header("Location: http://192.168.172.150/www/main.php");
?>

if you have set your root to the www folder then you should just be able to access main.php using http://192.168.172.150/

if not then you can set it to do so in the httpd.conf file that comes with apache

My root is at /usr/local/apache/htdocs and not at www. I specified also in apache conf file like this. But i am storing my php files are in www. If it was at htdocs it will work automatically with ip address.
But how can i have using www directory.

There are lot of such file index.html.
where is two letter extensions.
I created a index.php but not working.

Any other idea.
