passing a cookie into different director

Hell folks,

Can you help me with a cookie problem..

A cookie is set by a script in one directory
which is then supposed to be accessible to a script in another directory on the same level

the cookie is set using

setcookie('username',$username, time()+ 606012, '/', '',0 ) ;

and on the hard drive we have

username
paul
www.mysite.com/
1536
2414649088
29456172
2563675584
29455971

however when the page in the other directory is actioned that requires the cookie the page does not load into the browser instaed you get a microsoft error message.

any suggestions would be very much appreciated

you use:
setcookie('username',$username, time()+ 606012, '/', '',0 ) ;

try it without the , '/', '',0 parameters. I think you restrict your cookie validity to your root directory by specifying '/' as the path.
