PHP_SELF without the path?

I've been looking for a var or setting, or whatnot that gives me JUST the name of the executing php? No path.

Like instead of $PHP_SELF returning "/somedir/app.php" ... I want something to just return "app.php"...

Am I just crazy by asking for something so simple? =)

Anyhow, thanks ahead of time if you know of a var or extremely small one line command to get that info. Right now I explode by / and then grab the last element of the array... a bit LAME if you ask me...

Since the filename is the bit after the last \'/\', the following has the effect you asking for:

substr(strrchr($PHP_SELF,\'/\'),1)

jsut to clarify: this forum messes the quotes up pretty badly.

that part after $PHPSELF should not read:

backslash quote backslash quote

but just

quote slash quote
