I've got stuff about mail() and get IP

Hello all,

I am from Vietnam, and I have 2 question. May anyone there please help me, I need it much.

1. When I use this:
   $ip = getenv("REMOTE_ADDR");
   echo "Your IP = ".$ip;

The result is : Your IP = 127.0.0.1
That mean I am on localhost, though that page is on internet. The address of this page is www.minhthuan.f2s.com/test.php. If anybody can help me, please, send me a note.

2. If there are any way to send mail though mail() fuction and you can encode this mail into charset utf-8 or window-1252 ?

I don't know what you're doing wrong, it seems that getenv() gives you the IP of the environment instead of the remote one. This should work:

<?php
print "Your IP is $$REMOTE_ADDR";
?>
