Making external http connections

Hi, I need to make a script that grabs a file from one website and puts it into a form field on another website. The script will be run from another different website.

I have got to the stage where I have the original data in variable now what I need to do is make a http connetion to another website (called minidns.net) and log into their admin pannel and stick the data into a form then submit the form... this script will run in a shell so it wont be called from a browser. The Minisdns website uses cookies to authenticate the user. If anyone has any ideas??? You might get free webhosting with nzpages.net (the company the script is for) 😉

could you use GET instead of POST?

like https://minidns.net?username=rob&password=mightwork

if not, you'll just have to connect to port 80 and use the HTTP protocal to send and receive the data. managing the cookies would be another hassle.

also, this REALLY sucks if minidns.net is down... because your site will sit and wait trying to connect to it, so it will seem like your site is down.
