PHP require defuncted

i'm running a very busy server on a very old system.

it seems that on one of the pages that has about 6 different includes (as module page elements) some includes do not get inserted into the page.

does php not include some files when the server load is high?

perhaps not. i had a problem with a couple taxing eregi's and the server actually spit out raw code to the browser.

go figure.
