listing general contents of table

Hi there yal,

If i have a MySQL DB with a table containg a list of items with describtions, is there a way of listing what items are in the table, rather than listing all of the items seperatly:

ie
-- table : A A B B B C D E G
-- currently: A A B B B C D E G
-- desired : A B C D E G
