textarea limitaion

i made a submit form, it allows people to add pages on my site, works great...
when they try to add a new page, no matter how much they write everything works good...
the problem is when trying to edit, if they edit a post and the length of the edited post is big (i think around 1500 chars) then the submit button just don't work, there is no error message..., the button just don't responde...

does anyone knows whats the answer for that???

Make sure that your form definition includes the <b>METHOD="POST"</b> attribute in it. I saw similar behavior in IE once and it turned out that I had left this attribute off of the <FORM> tag. Without it, the browser defaults to the <i>get</i> method; and there is a length limitation on get requests.

Hello,
The querystring has a 255 character limit. When sending a form via method=GET, the information is sent in the querystring. If the data exceeds the 255 character limit, the form simply does not send.

You should use method=POST as the previous reply stated. This way, you are not limited by the querystring ceiling.

I believe the querystring limit is 1024 chars - not 255.
