I want to copy many(1000-2000) files to different librarys from a local machine to a server. Is it possible? It's so many so I don't want to HTTP_POST_FILES, is there an other way of copying the files to the server.

Does this have to be part of a PHP script? If not, just use one of the FTP tools.
Ws_ftp is great and free. CuteFTP seems to be a little bit more reliable but you have to pay for it after the month trial.

However you do it I would recommend you zip up all the files first. One of my sites which is about 1000 html and text files takes over an hour uploading each file but under a minute when I zip it up and upload it.
