in Perl you can do this and $country is output:

print <<"EOS";

<tr>
<td>Country:</td>
<td>
<input type="text" name="$country">
</td>
</tr>

EOS

How do you do this in PHP?

Do a find on "here document" on that page.. it is basically the same syntax, with just a couple of little quirks.
