skip intro page if viewed

hey all,
I am ok with using bits of php,

but i don't have a clue how to do this.

on my site, I have a flash movie as an intro, wat i want to do, is place a code using cookies that will make it so, once u have visited the intro page, it sets a cookie. and if the cookie is set, it will forward to the main page,

so, once u have seen the intro page, the next time u visit the intro page it will forward to the main page instead of showing the intro again.

all help will be apretiated.

Use something like this:

if ($HTTP_COOKIE_VARS['intro_viewed]) {
header("Location: http://www.site.com/index2.html");
} else {
setcookie('intro_viewed', '1');
// send HTML for flash movie
}

If you're using PHP 4.1.0, use $_COOKIE instead of $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS.

You can't set a cookie after any data has been sent.
