I'm trying to create a fixed length file from an informix database and am not having any success. Can anyone help with syntax.
The input shouldn't matter--unless it exceeds the fixed length you want. It's what you do with the output. How are you writing to the file? What is the fixed length? How are you keeping track of the number of bytes you're writing?
