Quotation problem

I am a newbie and I have a php script that i use to put news articles on my website. Whenever I Use quotation marks it produces question marks ?
So my article that reads. Mayor's new budget gets approved. It reads- Mayor?s new budget gets approved. Any ideas?

before running yr query try this:
$sql="INSERT INTO myTable (NAME) VALUES (".eregi_replace("'","''",$name).")";

doubling the apex was a solution i found in the past with ODBC... and it works fine till today... i guess it will work tomorrow too 🙂
