Where can i find a list of arguments that would be used with if-else, and while loops?

I'm trying to write a loop that chops out unneeded data before printing it out.

like gmt and unix_date in the sample below, and eventually more but most importantly that.

is there something that can look to see if the word unix is there, and if it is skip that whole section?

Arguments for if-else and while loops?

For what you want do I think you need to reseach regular expressions, and it wouldn't hurt to look at explode(), arrays and string functions either.

well i have a script that parses the xml data, and prints it out to a web page. but now i want to start converting some of that stuff into HTML and chop out the stuff i don't want to show up at all. and I can't modify the xml document.
