MP3 thingie

Ok, this couldn't be too hard for the pro's amongst u 🙂

i wanna make a form (with an option box) and have that play mp3's when they select it.
so, for example, if you have an option list
with song 1 and song 2
and a user clicks on song 2 , then song 2.mp3 should start playing (without making the page dissapear 🙂

maybe i explained it a bit hard, but i'm confident some1 can help me 🙂

nope, it doesn't.

sounds like sending that file with the correct header so that the browser ask "save or play".

Look at the header function

Header( "Content-type: image/gif");

but replace image/gif by what it needs to be for mp3. Dunno.

Next, I think it boils down to outputing the mp3 file.

i couldn't really find what i needed, though.

Not in javascript, nor in PHP.
But, to keep everything server side i made it in PHP, and let it reload a page with the embed tag in it.

looks too small on my IE 5. Can hardly find the start and stop button, only by good luck managed to get it started.

Mind: you normally have to pay artist fees to place music on your site ! Don't want to get you busted...
