How to check if they followed an inside

Ni there, hope someone can help me out. On my website i have a page called image.php which will be linked to from my website. But to somehow protect the page i only want people to see what's in it if they came from my site. So i thought to do a check for http in the refferer. If that (http://) will be in it then it must come from outside and then people will get a message. What type of code do i have to use. Or do you know something better to use, please advice me, i'm a newbie and learned code by looking at it. Thanks

Thanks, but i want to do the thing on my server. I tried things with refferer scheme and url but i only need some kind of check if the link which has been followed included http:// or not. I really hate cookies.

Whats so bad about them? A simple logged in or not cookie hardly seems like something to dispise with such passion. 😉

But people can turn them (cookie) off. So i want something which happens on my server. I use sessions but can't find a way to check if user followed link from my site or not.
