Public/Private Key Encryption

I've searched this board and I have found similar questions, but no replies.

I am looking for a tutorial or a script for a public/private key encryption.

I need to let the public store stuff into a DB but not get it out.

Or, if you know a better way to do it?

The documentation at http://www.php.net/docs.php has a description PHP's interface to the mcrypt library (under "Mcrypt Encryption Functions"), which will cover what you want.
