Is this possible: dynamic clock

I've been trying to get this working and I've got nowhere at all. If anyone can help, that'd be great.

OK, first off - I know I can't have a pure PHP solution to get a dynamic clock, after all, PHP is server side. So, I'm trying to get a dynamic clock that will use the server time, not the client's clock - using Javascript.

Is it possible to get a clock that will use the server time as a starting point, and run just like a normal dynamic JS clock, sync-ing with the server clock only when the page is refreshed?

Suggestions/code very welcome, and much appreciated. Thanks!

Get PHP to write the time into a suitable place in the Javascript code, just as you'd get it to write it into HTML.

Something like
