PHP Help

Hey guys. I've been studying PHP for a few weeks now on and off. I've got this book called "PHP and MySQL Web Development" and I've gotta tell you, I'm having some trouble. I'm still in chapter 1, which is just the crash course, and I'm afraid I am having problems understanding the basics. I know I can do this if I just get a little extra help or push. It's suppose to be a good book. It says it's for programmers or non-programmers. Considering I am new to all of this, I am the non-programmer lol. I learned HTML with no problem, but this is all knew to me and I was wondering if anyone could help me or something? I really want to learn PHP bad! Thanks for your time!

Hi Kenny

I was the same way it took me time to just understand what thing meant but I got through it.

First thing to remember is the PHP is server side scripting meaning it need to be on the server to be parse

First thing you want to know is the difference between variables and arrays and scalars
Once you can understand this the rest should fall into place for you.

This site is excellent for get help and www.webmonkey.com has great tutorials
