How can i overwrite data in a txt file?

when you open the file fopen() set the argument to w this will overwrite the file contents

eg

how do i do that? I hate text files, i never thought that i will have to do with them in PHP but... u see sometimes u need to lol

Actually, what Fizzwizz wrote was correct, you didn't say you wanted to parse through the file. Having said that, read in the file, parse out the chunk you don't want, then write it back to disk. Check out the file() function and the regular expression functions...

The problem is that i dunno how to replace/delete special lines in the file without cutting stuff out of it

do something like this:

Yea, exactly. Read the file using file() and if the line is not the starting line of the info you want to take out, write it to another variable (this data you will write back to disk when complete). If you hit the starting line of the data to remove, don't write it to the variable, and once you pass the last line, write back to the variable again... or you can use regular expressions, but that might be a lil bit harder for you...
