No Paragraph break in a php script!

I have a new bot running (a page where people can post msgs (not a vbb or ubb), and when i post a msg i will have a paragraph lets say

hi how are you doin

im ok

but when after i post it it comes up just one huge paragraph like

hi how are you doin
im ok

with no paragraph break and im having a problem fixing it, not even really for sure where to look, if someone could help me out on where i should add something or what i should add i would really appreciate it! thx alot or u can email me also! ([e-mail])

read about nl2br()

Don't forget the <br> at the end of a line. \n is just a text newline while <br> is a html newline.

nl2br() translates \n to a BR tag plus a newline char.
