MySQL Help?

Hello again, what i need help with and cant seem to figure out is a way to make something that when user1 clicks user2's lets say link to do a function with each other user1 has to wait till user2 clicks a link to accept and then they both begin the function.

And if any of you are in the mood what is the code like to update one user and take from another user at the same time? would i have to use to UPDATE lines at the same time or just one line?

as to my second question about the UPDATE, do you think this would do teh trick?

UPDATE user SET point = "$newpoint", point2 = "$newpoint2" WHERE username = "$user1, $user2"
