I have a site for uploading files to the server, then display the same files for downloading. Everything works well. The documents are in Micro$oft Word format. As of now, I can do searches by file names, categories, as well as other fields I specifiy.
Here is the problem:
(1) In any given document(word file), it may contain letters to one or more person, i.e. the contents are letters address to maybe one or two or five or ten different people. It is the responsibilites of the ones who download the file(s), print them out and send the letters to the right person correctly (or file them).
(2) Now, I was told to find a way to search by name (i.e. if one word file contains letters to John Doe and Jack Smith, I should be able to do a search, for example, for John Doe and that document should come up.)
(3) Restriction: CANNOT separate document into different pieces (Example above: seaprate the file into two, one for john doe and the other for jack Smith, NO, cannot do that for other reasons.)
Does anyone have any suggestion? I am not looking for codes but just an ideas if it can be done at all. My inclination is to say NO.
