html encoded e-mails comment out my \

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

All of my \"\"\'s are getting quoted out in the body of my e-mail (ex. it\'s = it\\'s)

(ex. <a href=\"link\">test</a> it comes out looking like: <a href=\\"link\\">test</a>)

this is what my code looks like:

$to= \"$recipients\";
$headers= \"From: $sender\n\";
$headers .=\"Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\n\";
$subject= \"$subject\";
$body = nl2br($message) .\"\n<br><br>\";
$body .=\"<a href=\\"http://www.somewhere.com/php-bin/unsubscribeEmail.php?email=$rows[email]\\">\";
$body .=\"<font face=\\"arial, verdana, san-serif\\" size=\\"2\\">Please unsubscribe me</font></a>\";

mail ($to, $subject, $body, $headers);

Please note that the qoutes in this thread were also commented out when posted.

I am also facing the same problem of yours when I try to read all the content of a file, edit it, and save it using php.
It comment out all the " to \".....
Can anyone help?
