php/mysql text in status bar with admin

Hi All,

Here's one for you...

I want to set up a script whereby a user can enter text into a form via an admin page and have that text displayed in the status bar of the web pages of their site.

I know how to add stuff to the status bar normally and I know how to add / edit / delete messages to a mysql database in php.

All I need to know is how to marry the two together.

Anyone know of a script that already does this or have any pointers for me.
