printable version of a dynamic page

I'm asking this question again because I don't think i made sense the last time i asked it...

I have page created from a query and want to make a printable version of the page with no images, colors, etc. Stripped, as it were...

First i have a table that has a list of articles from a database.
You click on a link and it brings up the article in a template.
Now what I want to happen at the click of a button is the the page that was created to be recreated in another template.
How do I say "take this query and (shove it! ...just kidding) "take the query used to make this page and make another of the same query in another page."

Is this still confusing? If it was a straight html page, no problem. But since it is a ../cgi-bin/results.php3?id=49 type of page, I am lost.

(you can obviously tell what a newbie i am...)

whatever data you used to create the page can be passed to the other page in a number of ways. Sessions is probably the best, but hidden form fields might be easier. Then that form on your new page would contain the data you need to create your new page. You could create a generic "template" file that you would pass the relevant data to (from anywhere) and it would build that page. You also might want to consider building a pdf file instead since that has a lot more precision in printing. A great class to do this with is here:
