Sessions dont work I get error message

Can anyone help

when I try to start a session i get the following error message.

warning : open (/tmp \sess-6741cc9e43e9da01e76e96ce8b62a5, O-RDWR) failed : m(2) in C:\phpweb\page1.php on line 3

i have tried changing the php.ini file in the windows directory but to no avail.

i am using php4 apache and mysql.

It is the /tmp that you have to change in your php.ini file.

what do I need to replace it with please!!!

put something like c:\temp or another directory that you have created. If you are using NT make sure the user running php have write access to the folder
