using php to call coldfusion

Hello all,

I have what seems to be a unquie problem. I have kindly been asked to provide an interface for a product. This interface needs to be written in php (thats what the my client is running). The ackend is you will is a coldfusion server with a seprate MSsql server. Now, the php interface,due to a number of reasons can not access the mssql server directly. So I need to work out how to "call" coldfusion pages on the remote server and then use the out put in the php interface and so. Is this even possible?? If so where can I find this info?

Of course. Most of the filesystem functions will accept a URL as a filename, and fetch the item using the appropriate protocol (such as http). See http://www.php.net/manual/en/configuration.php#ini.allow-url-fopen

So, please forgive me, I direct php to foobar.com/someapp.cfm then the resulting query would be displayed on my php page?
