problems with session

I can't start session. The code comes back with the error "failed to initialize session on line ..." on the session_start() command?
A linux expert took a look at my webserver and he said that the php.ini configuration is ok.
What the problem is?

Does it say something or other about headers already being set?

Sessions have to be started before the first header line has been sent to the client I believe. Check to make sure nothing is being sent before the session is started. It us usualy safest to put session_sart() on the first line of code.
